GIRL GUIDES CARNIVAL 2007
the main objective of the carnival was to raise funds.
amelia, jeslyn and i offered to help out. maybe i should rephrase and said i volunteered the both of them to help out at the carnival =PpP
in anycase, we were suppose to spend the day together, it turned out good (:
anyways, ng told us to help out Project 5G. it consists of a group of above 50 old ladies that are really passionate about raising funds. lols.
you should see the way they went about selling their food and stuff. (:
anyways, we didn't help sell, just merely helped to set up the stalls and blow up balloons!
it's the first time that i blew up helium filled balloons! lol. it was quite fun. but the balloons kept flying away once you don't hold them properly.
anyways halfway through the carnival, a bunch of them were stuck at the ceiling of the tent, i climbed up and got them down. we took a few pictures!

i took photos of the gadgets that a particular school built. it made me think back on all the times that we spent building various gadgets, how our shoe rack and clothes line were to be designed and built for our own use during camp. the best was the kitchen sheltar that we built at camp christine. it consisted of more than 100 poles and takes about an hour or more to build.


my favouries lash was the snake lash(:
don't look down on this lash- it's really strong, and holds well.

while taking a look at the different stalls at the carnival, we spied a huge cookie monster. so we decided to win it and give it to ng as a gift. lol. but when we arrived at the store after purchasing our coupons, the toy was already won by another person. so we set off and found a HUGE pooh bear. this pooh bear is almost as tall as me ya. so we had to pay $2 to play a fishing game, and we won it :DDD LOL. okay it wasn't really pure luck, but in anycase, i think the brownies were quite glad to get rid of it, cause it's so big! lol.

she was naturally shocked at the huge stuff toy. lol. but sadly, she didn't like poohs. so we decided to try our luck in retrieving the cookie monster for her. the lady at the store said that it was a guide that won the cookie monster. so we searched one stall by one stall and finally found it. LOL. we persuaded the guide to swap the cookie monster with our pooh bear. well she can't complain, the pooh bear was twice the size of the cookie monster. lol. so in the end, we managed to give ng a surprise by presenting her the cookie monster.

anyways was in a bad mood yesterday night. so i didn't join jess and bel for nights out. jess is going back today, no worries- i'll be seeing her in 6 months time.

driving in 3 more days.
