i sat there, neatly camouflaged by the masses. all i heard was the rustling of papers, as they were hurriedly flipped over and over again. mouths were opening and closing, yet all i could hear was my heart pounding hard. there was the sound of clicking. as people calculated the numbers over and over again. some cried. some smiled.
and i just sat there, numb.
immune to all of it.
sigh.
