FIRST DAY OF ORIENTATION AT VICTORIA JUNIOR COLLEGE!!! (:(:(: hehe.
this is definitely the best way to start off 2005. (: hahahah. YAY! i never regretted going vjc..and i guess i won't. yup. let's blog about today! hehx.
today reached school at around. 7.20am..then we went to register. for the first time of my life, i saw that there were actually a handful of nanyang girls that actually got posted into victoria! yayy..i'm not alone with shanru, mel and amelia anymore. haa. anyway it was around 10? haha. quite alot for nanyang girls though. well, alot of nanyang girls would rather go raffles or hcjc mah..for some strange reason of thinking that only these 2 jcs exist in the 'good' jc catogory or simply because other jcs are too far for them. righhtt.
anyway i was happily in the same queue as sonia [counter H] for registration. it's where we're suppose to collect our orientation package and coupon for our orientation tshirts, take a photograph, for some funny reason that i don't know why, andd report your attendence. then they split us up by our nric number, so for example if you're S8814****- S8820**** then you go counter A that kind of thing. yep. okay back to me happily queuing up with sonia when this SC took a sign and placed it near us. the sign was exactly the same as the one that told us which counter we were suppose to register in, and i didn't really take any notice of it at first.
then suddenly, i saw to my horror that for counter G, it was nric from S8835****- S8847****.. OH SHIT. what's my nric ahhrr..

AHHH.. i'm in the wrong queue!! and i actually didn't know for i have been queueing for like quite some time already..=/ uRgh. rightt.nvm. i got to know alot of new friends today cause of it! firstly is xi ying, and felicia. both from cedar [well cause sonia is from cedar. =/] hahahha.
so after i finally registered and collected my bag, i went to collect my shirts! and i found out that i could wear size S. whoa. that's a miracle. but the point is, i seem to have the habit of thinking that i'm in an all girls school, where sizes are catered to only girls. but here in vj, there's guys. [duh] so..the sizes are definitely gonna be bigger? hahahha. okok. but i collected both M sizes..and on my way home i found out that one of the shirt size was S!! AHH. disgusted. shall try to change to M or L tomorrow..(: hehx. like baggy shirts! yayy.
went to the hall for some talks on different faculties..blah blah blah. i almost fell asleep. then after submitting our OAS..i can't believe they actually asked us to fill in OAS on the first day of school. like some MCQ exam like that..=/ but it was for our subject combination lahh. yup. after all the nonsense, we finally got seperated into our groups!! yayy this was the time i was waiting for. =)
haha..my main orientation group name; film name is called RODEO. YAYYY RODEO ROX!!! (: haha..then my flick group name is called recca. and recca rox even more.(: hehx. though we were kinda quiet for the first few hours after the talk, i reckon the talk made us all sleepy and everything =/, but after when we had games, we warmed up with each other! here are my members...

wahhhh.okok there are 17 members and i only can remember such few names. =/ sorry!! hahha..cause these were the people that went for dinner together just now! yayy..we were the FIRST og to go for dinner together!! so on right? (: hahah..we rawkk man..(: we'll have many more og outings later on i'm sure! and even though rodeo is like last today, but i'm sure that tomorrow we'll catch up fast enough! well, we just needed time to warm up! hehx.
OH!! we learnt MASS DANCE and CHEERS today!! aAHHhhhh..i'm so excited!! the dance was like 16 sets of 8 and we learnt it altogether..it was damn cool! after that when everybody danced together it was so fun!! hahaha..it was the time when my group started opening up to each other. (: and then and then..we danced and danced and cheered and cheered!! the whole hall was cramped and the ceiling felt like it was gonna collapse. and we still went on! hahaha. that's the part of vjc that i like most about- the school spirit. and of course i must proudly add on, one of the mass dance, the most popular mass dance, and the favourite among most, is actually cheorographed by my sister!! wahhaha. #smirks#
nope, it's no more nanyang where by people actually discriminate those that are overly enthu...and its like a kind of TREND to keep quiet instead of cheering with the rest and cheering out loud and listening to councilors are only done by guai kias. haaa. in victoria, all these will change and everybody will be as hyper as everyone else! there's no such nonsense as keep quiet and standing still during mass dance anymore.
you know i went for vjc open house..and i found out that the moment a mass dance song is being played, everybody will stop what they are doing and start dancing the mass dance on the spot!! ahh so fun!! victoria- this is where i belong! (:
tomorrow we'll be getting back our results of which faculty we got posted into.. i'm not going to brood about it tonight, cause i trust that God will put me in the faculty where He feels suits me best. (: His plans are the best for me and i shall just learn to trust Him wholeheartedly. (:

(: and this is not the end though..i have feedback from melissa about her orientation and chieh's orientation! well, both of them didn't enjoy their orientation for the first day..and i dare say that VICTORIA is the ONLY jc whereby orientation is so fun even on the very first day! wooot! (: i'm glad i got posted to vjc by God's grace..and i pray that by God's grace i'll be able to stay there after first three months..! =/
dear heavenly Father,
i know that i'm asking for too much. so much so that i feel so bad. cause i know that i have no right to ask for anything and i'm not worthy even for Your love. but You have shown me great mercy throughout the year, and You gave me a vision on the very first day of this year during service on 1st january.
The vision showed myself in a cell, where suddenly in front of me a stairway formed allowing me to make my way up the hundred steps to the doorway where there was light, and as i looked around before i took the first step, i saw Jesus chained to the wall in the cell, in my place. in my place.
I cried when i saw the vision. yes Lord i was touched. =') and now i'm still asking for so much. first for my prelim results. then my posting results, and now my subject combination of being able to get into triple science. and later on even more for my o level results and my council elections. Lord, i don't deserve all these, i know. but You gave them to me. and Lord i shall just trust everything into Your hands now. from the part of my subject combination onwards, i will leave it to You to take charge. i love You. (:
