GRAD NIGHT'04

grad night was damn fun.=) hahas..it was held at meritus madarin on the 29th of november. shanru booked a room in meritus madarin itself..it was a suite..haha..arrived at meritus around 2.30pm. dad fetched me down before leaving for bangkok. mom left for malaysia early that morning..which means that gor and erjie will be left alone at home for a couple of days. as for me, i'll be attending guides camp from the 30th-3rd.

needed to get my hair done..but that would only take around 10 minutes..so had the whole afternoon to relax before getting down to dressing up! haha..it was really fun hearing from different classmates what they were gonna wear..my class' theme was mismatched..so all the costumes were all really mismatched. wahah..=)at around 4.45pm..shanrun accompanied me down to PS to get my hair done..it was really beautiful when the lady finished with it..haha..and i took 3 pictures of my hair alone. yayy..then we went back..it was around 5.30pm le..shanru began preparing herself..her costume was damn cool! it was a mix of victorian and western..and she got herself a wig!! wahahha..it was damn nice. only began to dress up around 6.15pm..mine was quite easy to put on..it was a dress with jeans..plus the makeup lahx..so it won't take long..haha..

by this time..alot of people were gathered in the room le! changd,gladys,changzhen,mel, siyou,shanru,sophia,sexy,me,jan and shijun. the room was crowded with people busy with their costumes and makeup..by the time we were all done, it was already 7.15pm..and we were officially late for 1/2 an hour. made our way to the grand tower..which was the other side of hotel. the ballroom where our grad night was held was beautifully decorated..it was rather hard to find an empty table..cause we were so late! so we ended up sitting on the other side of the ballroom while the other half of our class were on the other side. yeah..but nevermind! we still managed to take lots of photos! haha..

we had games after dinner..everyone was beautifully dressed..and people were taking photos everywhere. ahhh..i can't wait to get all my photographs developed!! #screams# can collect them this afternoon leh..hehx. after the dinner and games..we had the funnest part of the night- disco. the lights all went off except for the disco lights and they blasted the techno songs. all of us went really wild..dancing like we have never danced before. well that applies to me lahx..cause there were a few that didn't really join in..=( but at least most of 404 were together while we were dancing and having a great time. hahaha...mavis asked me whether i was drunk..and huiwen!! sheesh. she asked me whether i've been clubbing before. haha..i havent!! but i don't mind the experience actually.=)

then around 12+ the whole thing ended..and we continued to take more photos..before finally heading back to the hotel room. left the hotel around 1+ and reached home..bathed and finally fell asleep with my hair still wet. urgh. was suppose to wait til my hair was completely dry! but couldn't, cause was too tired. haven't really had the time to catch up all my sleep since SLTC. yep..

GUIDES CAMP'04

i woke up late!!! and missed the shuttle bus at 6.30am..=( i realised how i really couldn't survive without my parents fetching me to school in the early morning. urgh. thanx to weijie who saved me cause she gave me the taxi number..haha..called a cab and went school. was still feeling very tired..=/

guides camp was fun! caught up with alot of other guides and i definitely preferred being a senior then the ones organising the camp. haha..i don't know but i feel that the sec3 batch has done really well..and i kinda feel that our batch is a total flop. urgh. but nevermind lahx..at least we tried..but definitely not our best! [who says having a larger batch is of an advantage?] seniors had to do sentry duties every night..the different shifts were from 12-2. 2-4 and 4-6..sentry duty on the first night was from 2-4am. both weijie and i sat outside the classroom at the science block area..weijie was writing letters while i was struggling to stay awake. haaa. i couldn't so i dozed off while weijie continued writing her letters. around 3+ i went in the grab my sleeping bag and jacket..pulled it outside and set up my stuff along the corridor. funny way of doing sentry duty, but i didn really get down to having the chance of snuggling down the sleeping bag cause not long after, jang and old hag woke up to go to the toilet..

weijie dozed off sitting up.

i ended up talking to jang til 3.55am..it was the best talk i ever had for a very long time. prayed..sang worship and told each other our problems. woke up 7.15 the next day..didn't really had a good night..cause i couldn't get to sleep. sheesh. the irony about camp is that you feel damn tired and can go to sleep almost everywhere, but once you get into your sleeping bag, you just can't fall alseep. urgh.

we watched singapore idol finals during camp! can you belive it. ng was weird during the whole camp lah. don't know what's her problem. she changed from always scolding people to not scolding people at all during camp. which is weird. that's all i can say..but i'm still not used to her new mood, which fluctuates really terribly..like some gigantic sin graph. then second night, was suppose to do sentry duty with lowly from 4-6am..but guess what? jeslyn couldn't wake me up. when i woke up at 6, i thought she forgot to call me! haha..but actually she did by patting my head..but i seriously didn't feel anything! =/ ahh. sorry!! too tired already..=(

campfire on the third night was damn fun! actually my mood was seriously spoilt by ng. seriously i don't know what's her problem. but in the end i decided not to let her affect me cause she just wasn't worth it. so began hyper again! haha..got sabo-ed to go up and play two games..which was really dumb. but nevermind enjoyed it all the same.=) haha..sang songs and took some pictures. hehx. after that i walked panny out to wait for a taxi..talked to her for quite some time before hailing a cab. told her to give me a call when she got home and went back in. the last night, i didn't really feel tired. when i finally bathed..some sec2s and 1s came running up to me to tell me that the flagpole toppled over. so i quickly went to take a look. the flag was soaked and ON THE FLOOR. AHHH. the cls forgot to break colours that day. so i quickly lifted the flag off the ground and asked someone to hold on to it before untying the twine.

after asking the juniors to arrange everything neatly along the basketball court, i went to inform the cls about the flagpole. they wanted to build a new one so helped them with it. after that i went back to the classroom and asked amelia and jeslyn to accompany me to the basketball court cause the night sky was beautiful that night. =] hehx. some sec2s were there le..but didn't join them until later..we taught them the song "friends" and talked with them. i found out that apparently i was suppose to be very funny. cause for some reason, clare couldn't stop laughing when she saw me and whenever i talked to her. so i asked her how come during footdrill she didn't laugh then she said cause she was trying not to, and she was vibrating! wahha..sheesh. i still don't get how i am funny. =/

then rachel told me that the very first time she saw me she felt that i was very kong bu and scary. ahhh. really meh...sheesh. then sec2s confessed that they were scared of me initially!! ahh. sheesh. okok~ i'm not so scary you know..melinda is scarier!! =/ the other stuff we talked about? erm..better not post them up..haha.

then was suppose to do sentry duty with amelia and jiehui..but weijie they all wanted to do. so amelia asked us go sleep..yup. by that time it was already 4+. we had sabotage on the last day!! wahhaha..it was fun. but the campers spirit weren't there..=/ like past years..every patrol were cheering and singing songs. it was a rather 'loud' activity..but this year..the patrols didn't sing nor cheered until the seniors asked them to do so..so yeah..the spirit wasn't there. i played the good guy and the bad guy..at the last station, i ganged up with suyi to seperate the patrol..hahaha..cause the patrol won't go until they hear my voice mahs..and made sure that i was the one leading them..so i lead half the patrol to one end of the court and the other to the other end..hwahhaha..then i purposely asked anna to do head count. so she went, doi-ng 1..and there were no do-ing 2 to carry on..whaha..so they started screaming each others name..hwahha. then i told them before they could do find the other half of the patrol, they would have to entertain me..whaha..and both groups sang happy birthday to me..cause of the aunty tan incident. whahaha. sheesh..and rachel ended up telling me that i was evil alot of times. what loh! i very nice one kaiex. hrmpf.

went for lunch and then reached home at 4pm. after unpacking all my stuff..i plonked myself on my bed and went to sleep. i didn't wake up til 8+ this morning! hhaha..can't blame me mahx..cause i only had a total of 9 hours of sleep the whole camp. just went for breakfast with my mom..and here i am blogging~ haha..ohoh!! for farewell..sec4s are gonna do something really cool!! whahaha..hope it works out! shan't say anything here...wahaha..but it's gonna be damn fun! even the preparation itself is gonna be damn fun...ahh. can't wait.=)

i suddenly feel that i don't wanna leave nygg..=( i don't mind leaving nanyang..i don't mind leaving 404. but i really don't wanna leave nygg..haish. after the camp, jiehui said, "i suddenly wished i haven't graduated from ny yet..cause camp made me miss ny all the more." and i feel that in jc..i would miss guides..i would miss the camps and fun we had..i would definitely miss the juniors and sequad mates..and even a bit of ms ng....
